Services / Level 02 · AI automation

AI automation that does the groundwork. You keep the decisions.

In short

Aurelith provides AI automation services for operating companies in Greece and Europe. Each automation it designs and builds reads, compares and prepares work across the tools you already use (email, documents, CRM and ERP), then stops for a person to approve every decision that matters. It is part of Level 02, Custom AI Solutions.

01 / What it is

What does AI automation mean in practice?

Fixed rules handle the predictable steps. AI handles the steps that need reading and judgement. People make the decisions.

AI automation hands the steps that fixed rules cannot handle to AI: reading documents and emails, comparing options, drafting replies and dealing with the exceptions.

Conventional automation still runs the predictable steps, such as moving a record or sending a notification. AI takes on the work in between, the part your team does today by reading, checking and writing.

Aurelith builds every automation approval-first: the AI prepares and moves the work, and a person approves every decision that matters before anything irreversible happens. An AI agent is a related idea, software with one responsibility that chooses its own next step within set limits. Aurelith builds both and recommends which fits once it understands the workflow.

02 / Typical starting points

What are typical starting points for AI automation?

Six workflows that recur in most operating companies. In each one the AI does the groundwork and a person keeps the decision.

Illustrative · typical workflows, not client work
  1. 01

    Incoming documents and forms

    AI does

Reads each document, extracts the fields, checks them against your rules and routes the case to the right person.

    Person approves

Every case the checks flag, and anything that commits money or a promise.

  2. 02

    Supplier and quote comparison

    AI does

Reads every offer, lines up prices, terms and differences, and drafts a recommendation with the evidence.

    Person approves

The choice of supplier and anything sent back to them.

  3. 03

    Email triage with drafted replies

    AI does

Sorts incoming email by topic and urgency, finds the context and drafts a reply.

    Person approves

Each reply before it leaves the company.

  4. 04

    CRM updates and follow-ups

    AI does

Keeps client records current from emails and call notes, and prepares the next follow-up.

    Person approves

Changes to key accounts and every message to a client.

  5. 05

    Reports and summaries

    AI does

Gathers figures and updates from your systems and drafts the report or the weekly summary.

    Person approves

The conclusions, and anything shared outside the team.

  6. 06

    Internal requests and approvals

    AI does

Collects each request, checks it against your policy and sends it to the right owner with a short summary.

    Person approves

The request itself, with the full context in front of them.

03 / How it runs

One workflow, four steps, one human signature.

A supplier comparison, step by step. The AI does the first three steps. The fourth is yours, and nothing irreversible happens before it.

Supplier comparisonIllustrative workflow
  1. 01AI

    Read the documents

Extracts what matters from the offers, emails and specifications.

  2. 02AI

    Compare the options

Lines up prices, terms and differences against your criteria.

  3. 03AI

    Draft the summary

Brings the evidence together in a recommendation you can check.

  4. 04Person

    Human approval

You approve, change or reject the recommendation. Only then does the work move on.

After approval, the automation carries the decision forward: it updates the record, sends the approved reply or prepares the order.

04 / Connected

Built on the tools you already use.

Aurelith connects each automation to the systems your people already work in, so the work moves between them and nobody has to change where they work.

  • Email

Reads incoming messages and attachments. Sends a reply only once a person has approved it.

  • Documents

Reads offers, contracts, invoices and forms where your team already keeps them.

  • CRM

Keeps client records and follow-ups current, so the next conversation starts with the full picture.

  • ERP

Reads orders, stock and product data, and writes back only what a person has approved.

When a process needs its own screen, such as a review queue or an internal portal, Aurelith builds that interface too. It is part of the same level, Custom AI Solutions.

05 / Control

What is approval-first automation?

Approval-first automation is how Aurelith builds every automation: four controls decide what it may do and when a person steps in.

Definition Approval-first automation

An automation design in which AI prepares and moves the work, and a person approves every decision that matters before anything irreversible happens.

Scope grows only after it is proven

An automation starts with a narrow job and a person on every decision that matters. Its scope grows only after it has proved reliable in real conditions, and only when you decide.

At Level 03 the same principle becomes earned autonomy: in Company Brain, AI agents receive authority action by action, only when evidence shows they are reliable, always under human authority.

  1. 01

    Permissions

Each automation reads and writes only what its job needs, in the systems you approve.

  2. 02

    Approval points

You decide which steps need a person’s sign-off. Anything irreversible waits for one.

  3. 03

    Visibility and records

Your team can see what the automation read, what it prepared and who approved it.

  4. 04

    Escalation

When a case is unclear or out of bounds, it goes to the right person instead of being guessed.

06 / Honest limits

When is AI automation the wrong answer?

Part of Aurelith’s analysis is deciding what should not be automated. These are the usual reasons to leave a workflow as it is, or to fix something else first.

  • A simple rule or a better form already solves it

If the steps never vary, conventional automation or a clearer form costs less and is easier to maintain.

  • The data is not ready

If the information is missing, unreliable or not yours to use for this purpose, sort that out before anything is automated.

  • Nobody owns the workflow

An automation needs a person who answers for the outcome and approves its decisions. Without one, it drifts.

  • The work is rare or different every time

If it happens a few times a year or never the same way twice, setting it up costs more than it saves.

07 / What you get

What does an AI automation project give you?

Every AI automation project with Aurelith delivers these five things. The exact scope and deliverables are set out in your written proposal, agreed before anything is built.

The payoff is attention: your people stop re-reading, re-typing and chasing, and keep their time for the decisions only they can make.

  1. 01

    A working automation

Built around the workflow you chose and connected to the tools your people already use, such as email, documents, CRM and ERP.

  2. 02

    The approval points you chose

Your team decides which steps need a person’s sign-off, and anything irreversible waits for one.

  3. 03

    A record you can check

Your team can see what the automation read, what it prepared and who approved it.

  4. 04

A team that knows how to use it

Aurelith tests the automation in real conditions, refines it and guides your people as it becomes part of everyday work.

  5. 05

    Support with no end date

Aurelith stays by your side, so the automation keeps paying off as your business changes.

08 / How we work

What happens after the first conversation?

The same six steps for every Aurelith service. Nothing is built until the proposal is agreed.

  1. First conversation

Free. You tell us what should work better, and we ask about the workflow, the tools and the people involved.

  2. Analysis of your business

We study your processes, your tools and the way your people work, so the proposal fits the business.

  3. Proposal

Service level, scope, deliverables, timeline and investment, in writing and agreed before implementation begins.

  4. Build together

We build with your team, share progress as we go and work your feedback in.

  5. Put it to work

We test in real conditions, refine, and guide your people as the automation becomes part of everyday work.

  6. Support with no end date

We stay by your side, so the automation keeps paying off as your business changes.

What is AI automation?

AI automation uses AI models for the steps of a business process that fixed rules cannot handle, such as reading documents and emails, comparing options and drafting replies, while conventional automation runs the predictable steps. Aurelith builds AI automations approval-first: the AI prepares and moves the work, and a person approves every decision that matters before anything irreversible happens.

Does Aurelith use rules-based automation or RPA as well?

Yes, where rules are enough. Aurelith uses rules for the predictable steps and AI where the work needs reading or judgement, and keeps a person on every decision that matters. The full comparison of RPA, workflow automation, AI automation and AI agents is in the guide AI automation vs RPA.

Which business processes are good candidates for AI automation?

Good candidates recur often, follow a recognisable pattern, involve reading or preparing documents, emails or records, and have a clear owner who can approve the outcome. Typical starting points are incoming documents and forms, supplier and quote comparison, email triage with drafted replies, CRM updates and follow-ups, reports and summaries, and internal requests and approvals. The guide What to automate first gives a seven-question checklist.

Does AI automation replace our CRM, ERP or other systems?

No. An AI automation works alongside your CRM, ERP, email and document storage: it reads from them, prepares the work and writes back only what a person has approved. Your systems remain the record, and the automation moves the work between them.

How do people stay in control of automated decisions?

Through approval-first design. Each automation has only the permissions its job needs, a person approves every decision that matters before anything irreversible happens, your team can see what was prepared and who approved it, and unclear cases go to the right person. The scope grows only after the automation has proved reliable in real conditions.

How much does AI automation cost?

Aurelith has no public price list. The first conversation is free, and the investment is set out in a written proposal after an analysis of your business. For an automation it depends mainly on the number of systems to connect, the volume of exceptions, how the approvals are designed and whether your people need their own interface. More on scope and pricing.

How long does it take to put an automation to work?

An automation’s timeline is part of your proposal and is agreed before any work begins. Aurelith recommends starting with one valuable workflow, testing it in real conditions with your team and widening the scope once it has proved itself, so the first automation is working before the next one is planned. More on scope and timing.
